Ming Louie, currently of Northville, Michigan, has been performing magic professionally since the age of 12.  A native of China, Ming learned his first sleight-of-hand from his grandfather, who was a professional magician in China and Canada.  Ming went on to develop his own original style, leaning heavily on his Oriental background as the theme for many of his illusions.  He has created a unique act that combines the magic of music, dance and illusion.

Eventually teaming up with wife and assistant Barbara, the act of Ming the Magnificent was born.  They have traveled extensively, appearing in magic shows throughout the Hawaiian Islands, from the West Coast to New England, Delaware to Florida.  They have appeared at varied locations, from USO shows to state fairs, cruise ships to shopping malls and school assemblies.

In addition to large stage illusions, Ming is also a master of sleight-of-hand, having appeared on local television shows to demonstrate his skill.  Ming currently teaches such skills to students through local community education classes, in an endeavor to continue the art of magic for generations to come.
